Dental

Did you know that healthy teeth and gums are closely linked to your overall health? That’s why it’s so important to have regular dental check-ups and maintain good oral hygiene.

Learn about the two dental plans available to you administered by Delta Dental:

  1. Enhanced Dental Plan – This plan covers a wide range of dental services for you and your family, such as preventive care, fillings, dentures and oral surgery. In addition, this plan covers crowns, bridges, implants and orthodontia. The plan also provides a higher annual maximum than the Select or Basic Plans.
  2. Basic Dental Plan – This plan covers basic dental services for you and your family, such as preventive care, fillings and oral surgery. This plan does not cover major services, such as crowns, bridges, dentures or orthodontia.

Stay In Network

You have the option to receive care from any provider you choose, however you’ll generally pay less when you receive care from a provider within the Delta Dental network. To find a participating provider, visit www.deltadentalins.com/smithsgroup or call 1-800-932-0783.

Using your dental benefits

Here’s how to make the most of your dental benefits:

  • Choose a provider. Each time you need dental care, you have a choice of providers. Selecting a Delta Dental participating dentist will ensure you optimize your dental benefits. To find a provider, go to www.deltadentalins.com/smithsgroup or call 1-800-932-0783.
  • No one wants to be surprised by an unexpected bill.  It’s always a good idea to get a pre-treatment estimate for anything other than routine care. Examples of procedures for which you might want a pre-treatment estimate include crowns, inlays, bridges, and periodontics. For more information about pre-treatment estimates, contact Delta Dental or your dentist.
  • Check your claim status and other information on the Delta Dental website. You may review Explanation of Benefits (EOB) statements, check  claim status and more.
