Learn about the two dental plans available to you administered by Delta Dental of Illinois:

  • Enhanced Dental Plan

  • Basic Dental Plan
This plan covers basic dental services for you and your family, such as preventive care, fillings and oral surgery. Plus, there is coverage for Crowns, Inlays, Onlays, Dentures, Bridges and Implants, however this plan does not cover orthodontia.

Stay In Network

You have the option to receive care from any provider you choose; however, you’ll generally pay less when you receive care from a provider within the Delta Dental PPO network. They have agreed to reduced fees that are usually lower than Premier dentist fees. Plus, you have a higher annual maximum when using PPO dentists.  To find a participating provider, visit www.deltadentalil.com or call 1-800-323-1743.

Using your dental benefits

Here’s how to make the most of your dental benefits:

  • Choose a provider. Each time you need dental care, you have a choice of providers. Selecting a Delta Dental participating dentist will ensure you optimize your dental benefits. To find a provider, go to www.deltadentalil.com or call 1-800-323-1743.
  • No one wants to be surprised by an unexpected bill.  It’s always a good idea to get a pre-treatment estimate for anything other than routine care. Examples of procedures for which you might want a pre-treatment estimate include crowns, inlays, bridges, and periodontics. For more information about pre-treatment estimates, contact Delta Dental Illinois or your dentist.

Check your claim status and other information on the Delta Dental website. You may review Explanation of Benefits (EOB) statements, check claim status and more.
